Changing The Idea

 

 

There after discussing it a lot we figured out that there wasn't a weekend where we're all free at the same time to film at the cafe and it wouldn't work without Katie there. This means I had to change my idea. I've decided to go with the sleepover idea that someone suggested to me in my feedback. We're going to film this at my house on March 6th.

Organising the filming at the cafe

 

I messaged Katie, Ayeasha and Jameen telling them how I want to film a cafe scene to add to my music video. I wanted to film on February 26th as the cafe will be busy on the Saturday (25th) and I wont be able to film on weekdays. Unfortunately Katie was unable to film that day and when we went through other dates not all of us would be free at the same time. The only date we might be able to film is the 4th of February, but I'm not sure as Katie hasn't yet replied.

Second Music Video Edit

This is the second edit of my music video. When watching it back, I realised that there are a lot of repetitive shots of the three girls walking in the woods and I decided that I need to film at another location to break it up so the audience doesn't get bored. My idea is to film the girls in a cafe eating and drinking together while laughing and chatting. I think this would be a nice way to break away from the repetitive scenery of the woods.

This is the flatplan for my magazine advert. I want the design to be simple and for the colours and fonts to represent the music well.

Font Testing

I downloaded mostly sans serif fonts and tested them out by typing the artist's name and the name of the album. I wanted sans serif fonts because it would represent the style of music CONTACT makes. I think smooth looking fonts represent indie pop music well.

Adding a Filter to the Footage

I changed the colour of the scenes in the classroom by adding a filter to make them slightly blue looking. I did this to make reality seem unappealing and cold compared to the warm, comforting colours in the dream.
